Colors in games I

This article introduces color theory and relates color theory to the realization of my vision of a rogue-like/-lite game.

Color theory is both the science and art of using color. It explains how humans perceive color; and the visual effects of how colors mix, match or contrast with each other. Color theory also involves messages colors may convey and reactions colors may elicit (Color and psychological functioning: a review of theoretical and empirical work; Andrews; 2015) as well as the methods used to replicate color.

This is not the attempt to be complete treatment of color theory; I simply introduce in this article color theory and expand it in other articles in various directions for a single purpose: I want to leverage color theory to realize my vision of a rogue-like/-lite game.
